In these bitter cold days I reach for the comfrey. This New England winter has been especially brutal – temps below zero and snow storm after snow storm. So understandably this translates into dry air and thus dry, parched skin. It makes me happy to know, however, that the abundance of my comfrey plants from the summer is still with me, at least in it’s oil-infused, salve-soothing form. It’s a happy green oil, soothing and deeply healing for dry skin.

Here’s a picture of it’s pretty blue, spiral-growing flowers:

And of the last batch of comfrey salve that I concocted from fresh green infused oil:

I like to add Carrot Seed and Lavender essential oils to increase the healing properties of the oil for the skin.

I’ve been away from here for a while – away to see family and to enjoy some time off. But now I’m back and it’s time again for action! Thanks to all who made my holiday season so fun, full and busy due to your happy support of my Flowerfolk formulations. I couldn’t do it without your business!

So, it’s still wintertime and things may be quiet on the market front and for being out and about, but this means it’s a good time for me to update some other aspects of Flowerfolk. I’ve been working on editing my Etsy page and still have grand plans for a new website – exciting! My Facebook page has been updated as well…so if that’s your cup of tea, then head on over there to check it out.
