Somehow we’ve gotten ourselves in the midst of the holiday season, and if you’re like me you’re asking how in the world it got here so quickly. Alas, we cannot slow time down, but we might as well enjoy it while we have it. So: time to eat fall foods! Squash! Apples! Root vegetables! Let’s have at it. And happily enough, I know just the place to find such delectables. My friends at White Barm Farm are hosting a Thanksgiving Market this coming Saturday near their place in Wrentham. Check it out. There’s going to be the above-mentioned harvest foods, plus honey, coffee, candles, soaps, local pork and eggs. They’ve been kind enough to ask me to join them in this festive gathering, so I will be there with my herbal concoctions. I’ll be there from 10-4 and it’d be lovely to see you. Cheers!

Autumn discoveries…
…are falling from the sky. Like one of my favorite plants appearing seemingly out of nowhere, footsteps from my door, when it had been hidden to me before… Abundance showing its face to me again and again in herbal verdancy and gathered beauty….
…..in food and color….
…in retreats by the sea…
…and quiet trails through sunlit woods….
Grateful for it all.
